Wow, where has the year gone? Well most of it has been swallowed up in studying and work. My free time is spent with Dave and the kitties. The picture at the top was taken on October 2 when we took a picnic and drove up into the Alpine Loop. It was wonderful to get out and forget about school and work for a bit. We stopped at a small campground that had picnic areas near the road. The latrine up the path was apparently out of order. People would walk down the path to us and ask us if we knew anything about that particular toilet or where the next closest one was. I guess we looked like we lived/worked there? One group drove through in what looked like a 1920's convertible caddie.
We watched a squirrel that appeared to be moving house. Back and forth it went and on every trip another baby in it's mouth moving to a location further from the road. I took some pictures and then we continued the tour. It was the perfect time, the trees were changing color so the mountains were painted in reds and oranges and yellows.
